We have been talking for over a year about getting a new table for the group. I had said that I would build it but my issue is I don’t want to spend our money and then screw it up. I am handy with tools but not necessarily a custom carpenter or upholsterer.

I have done a lot of research online for new tables and here is what I have found. www.straightpokersupplies.com is company based in Toronto that supplies custom tables to Poker Stars and I visited them today to discuss what we would like to get.

We currently have a 4 X 8 table for 10 players and it has the wood track and the cloth centre.

After discussing it with a few of our players we would like to get a custom built 4 X 9 table for 12 players with large cup holders in the padded bumper instead of on the table. This company has a 4 X 9 table for 10 players and a dealer spot for $1100 plus tax. I have had a good discussion with them and got a price for a custom table.

4 X 9 table for 12 players all with large cup holders. It will have the custom sublimated cloth that is water repellent and a waterproof foam underneath. My price I talked him down to is $900 tax in if we pay cash. I said cash is no problem. This offer is only good if I order it this week. Al has already offered to use his van to go and pick up the table and deliver when it is ready instead of paying for shipping.

The money we have collected from each rebuy over the last couple of years has been counted and we are at just over $900. I would like to hear your vote for yes get the new table or no we should not buy a new table. I would also like to hear your vote for which cloth color you would like if we go with this.
