New Season -> New Rules

If anyone wants to have any rules changes for the next season, it would be nice to decide on them before the season starts?

  1. 1. – Revert back to 7:30 start time

    2. – Have someone type out and post all the rules on the website.

    3. – Chopping of weekly money and points awarding clarification, options and/or possible modification.

    4. Change Nayan’s cup picture. Breaks our new ethics code

    I’m good with one 5 minute break at top ups.

    Instead of one rebuy at anytime…You can do a single re-buy at top ups regardless if you have chips or not.

      If your last suggestion is one rebuy until top ups and then you can rebuy regardless of your chip count that doesn’t really help the guy who guys out after top ups and wants to take one more stab at it for the night before he goes home. Just my 2 cents worth.

      1. Subset of rules are….Post a link to an official set of rules somewhere on the net.
        The set of rules that about 5 people think they are … keep changing.
        There are a bunch of new players who are out on a weekly basis now.
        The game and communication should evolve with that.

        – Rebuys. true, I was mainly thinking towards someone who was shorter stacked.
        Doesn’t matter to me either way. I believe this was supposed to be a social outing. I always re-buy and stick around 95% of the time whether I’m still in or not.

        *** Proper dealing: Dealer to take control of the hand that is being dealt. Deal all spots that have money in front regardless if the player is at the table or not. If the player is not at the table when it’s his or her turn, cards are mucked and move on.

        **** Do you guys want to make this about the cup run or about weekly cash outs?
        Every week it is the norm for players to feel the pressure of automatically chopping as soon as 3rd place is determined. This happens to be the case with anyone who has joined in the last 2 years.

        By doing so this is effecting the way the points run out. This is especially the case when one of the players is not playing each week for the cup points.
        When 2 players are making a decision that effects the points (by not playing it out) you essentially could effect the points outcome and current standings for others involved.
        And for the record….I could really careless if my name ever gets on the cup again or is on it in the first place.
        This is a form of Collusion that effects more than just the two players involved at that time.

        If we had carried on with the normal pressure of just stopping after 3rd place was determined….The cup would not of been handed out last week ( not taking anything away from Al’s play last week).

        Chris asked a question and was gestured to leave. I questioned and was told it didn’t matter.
        If None of the new people mattered or have a forum to question it,
        The same 4-5 legacy people wouldn’t have enough to play each week.

        I don’t care either way. Now I know that I “don’t” have to chop anymore and won’t get any backlash for conforming to the rules and our ethics & etiquette policy. I will just play it out until a winner is decided and 75%-25%.
